In the Rakes of Rotten Row Series, the Marquess of Winterhope reigns as a master of horse racing, with his heart devoted solely to his stable of steeds. A proper gentleman in every sense, he navigates high society and intrigue with ease. He’s only failed to master one last necessity: Love.

When it finally thunders into his life, will he yield to its call or continue to outrun the temptations of the season?

Pall Mall Peer is book four in The Rakes of Rotten Row series by Annabelle Anders. So first of all, I love Ms Anders writing. She is absolutely one of my favorite authors and I appreciate the way she treats her ARC team since I am on it. My big pet peeve is that she doesn’t date her stories. The reason this is important to me is I enjoy researching and looking into history. When I read a book as a Beta reader, I am often checking fashion, settings, language use,  historical occurences to see if they are accurate to the time period. In this particular set of stories, so many things are mentioned that did not take place during the Regency Era but instead took place during the Victorian Era that it really can’t be called a Regency romance.  That said, I enjoyed the story overall. I think the Marquess of Winterhope is one of my new favorite characters. He’s a man of honor and integrity. The heroine Clementine is a relation of a prominent family who has been reduced through loss to poverty. Clem accompanies her cousin to a house party and finds her life forever changed. There are a number of very, very steamy scenes.
