What happens when a woman driven by pride

and a duke ruled by ruthlessness are forced to wed?

Ophelia Breckensole has no intention of becoming anyone’s duchess—least of all the wife of Stanford, Duke of Ashworth, a man whose cold reputation and commanding presence make her bristle. But when scandal ensnares her in a trap she can’t escape, marriage becomes the only way to salvage what remains of her standing. She’ll go through with it, but her heart is not part of the bargain.

Stanford has earned his nickname—the Dangerous Duke—with unapologetic precision. Rebuilding a bankrupt dukedom required grit, control, and an utter disregard for sentiment. But Ophelia, with her fire and fierce independence, is unlike any woman he’s ever met. She’s not the duchess he planned for… but perhaps the only one who could truly challenge him.

As past enemies close in and threaten everything he’s rebuilt, Stanford must protect his new wife from forces far more dangerous than Society’s gossip. But as duty and desire entwine, can two reluctant hearts overcome their pride—and survive the danger that seeks to tear them apart?

Loved By A Dangerous Duke is book thirteen in the Seductive Scoundrels series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I liked the tension between the main characters Stanford the Duke of Asherford, and Ophelia Breckensole. Both have appeared in previous books. This book can be read as a stand-alone, although I highly recommend the series. I enjoyed the romance and the way the characters evolved throughout the story.
