My Dearest Duke by Collette Cameron

My Dearest Duke is the thirteenth installment in the Seductive Scoundrels series. Originally this book was called Loved by the Lyon. I enjoyed the story line. Though it can be read as a stand alone, I think it is a much better read within the series. Cameron uses the Best friend of the brother trope. I have always enjoyed this device. It’s one that most of us who have older brothers can relate too. The plot moves at a good pace and there were a few twists in the story that I didn’t expect. I enjoyed the heroine Vanessa Becket and her determination to get her jewels back from her wastrel step brother.  A short and romantic read.
