The Lady Saves the Duke is book three in the Lord Love a Lady series. I have to say that this book was probably my favorite one in the series so far. I absolutely adored the character of Abigail Wright. I was so impressed with this author’s ability to build such a wonderfully complex character who loves life and looks for joy in everything. She was such a refreshing heroine. I grow weary of hard, cynical heroines who we are supposed to believe are somehow strong because they have walls up the size of Jericho. I truly enjoyed Abigail’s willingness to look for the positive in situations and people. I thought the portrayal of the duke as a man who hides his deeply held emotions to be spot on. This author has such a deep understanding of the human psyche and she weaves that depth into each one of her stories. There are a number of steamy scenes, so have a fan nearby. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
