In fact, I truly believe this one to be her most outstanding work. She mixes romance with comedy and intrigue. Southern belle Gwendolyn McClintock is escorting her nephew Jeremiah to Scotland to claim his place as the new Laird of Suttford House. On the way, she and her small group encounter a wounded Scot Dugall Ferguson along the road. When her British driver panics and runs over the man, Gwendolyn feels obligated to help him. And so begins a hilarious journey for both Gwendolyn and Dugall Ferguson – the hapless victim. I loved Gwendolyn’s southern drawl and her funny quips. Dugall is the perfect giant hero. This book is a must read.
