Is happily ever after in the cards for a mercurial marquis and a vivacious vixen?
There is nothing Blythe Culpepper wants less than a Season in London. Except, spending time with Lord Leventhrope. She definitely wants nothing to do with that odious (and admittedly handsome) man. So, imagine her dismay when she’s saddled with both...
Tristan has no interest in social gatherings. Which is why he’s as surprised as everyone else when he agrees to help present the Culpeppers to Society. If only he could determine why the sharp-tongued Blythe captivates him like no other… Tristan and Blythe soon learn, that there’s nothing like a little forced proximity—and a deadly enemy—to help a pair of polar opposites see what they truly mean to each other.

The Marquis and The Vixen was originally entitled Blythe: Schemes Gone Amiss. This is book two in the Conundrums of the Misses Culpepper Collection by Collette Cameron. I have thoroughly enjoyed this audible book. Stevie Zimmerman does a fabulous job bringing Cameron’s characters to life. Blythe Culpepper is taken to London to have her season among the Ton. But her guardian’s close friend Lord Leventhorpe is to act as a chaperone, and Blythe detests him. This is a classic enemy to lovers trope that I adore. Lord Leventhorpe is a quiet man and greatly misunderstood. But he and Blythe don’t mix, and they seem to bring out the worst in each other. “Looming several inches above her, Lord Leventhorpe’s chest – a thick, wide wall of virile maleness – blocked her view. Tempted to shift away, she forced her feet to stay planted. He was the largest man she’d ever met, and as one of Heath’s closest friends, she must learn to tolerate Lord Leventhorpe’s intimidating presence. Surely sainthood and a seat at the Lord’s Table awaited her if she managed the Herculean task. The auburn-haired devil enjoyed provoking her, and like a nincompoop, she regularly succumbed to his goading.”
Cameron infuses a healthy dose of humor in her romances and this one is no exception. I am forever a fan of Ms. Cameron’s work.
