One Kiss From Ruin is book one in The Harrow’s Finest Five series by Nancy Yeager. This book is magnificent! I couldn’t put it down. Yeager does a brilliant job developing her characters and then breathing life into them. They are each complex beings who respond to hardship and trial in believable ways. This is a second chance romance with twists and turns that I couldn’t predict. Daniel Hallsworth is sailing back to England to clear his sullied name so he can claim the Marquessate of Edensbridge. When he finds that his old lover is on board his ship, he realizes he isn’t over the heartbreak of her rejection. But what’s a man to do when he discovers that she may still have feelings for him? “She pushed the door closed behind her and leaned against it, watching him as his weighted gaze perused every inch of her body, arousing her as if with his touch. They stared at each other, their breathing heavy, perfectly synchronized, lade with expectation. He didn’t move a muscle. Just waited. Heat radiated off his body and made the blood sing in her veins. She leaned forward, straining on her tiptoes to get close to his ear. “Daniel, I find myself in desperate need of your kiss.” Definitely a must read.
