TAKE A RIDE ON THE LOVE BUS! A Slow burn, road trip, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, Romantic Comedy!
I didn't just get dumped—I burned my entire life to the ground. On live TV.
One minute, I was co-hosting Leo and Luna's Lavish Lunches with my fiancé, the guy I thought I'd marry, and the next, I was breaking off our engagement in the middle of a segment. Now, my hometown can't decide if I'm their new feminist hero or a cautionary tale. Either way, I can't go anywhere without seeing the clip or hearing someone whisper, "There's Luna Faraday. Poor thing."
So, when my sister insists I take our mom's place on the Southwest Bucket List tour, with a busload of quirky tech-challenged retirees, I reluctantly agree. I mean, how bad can it be? A little peace, a little quiet, a lot of open road—perfect for lying low and licking my wounds.
I should've known better.
This trip? It's not at all what I expected. We're talking, crossing the continental divide in a bus driven by the world's youngest bus driver, staying in ghostly hotels, and learning just how dangerous senior citizens can be with a phone and a wireless signal.
But also… One very grumpy, very hot ER doctor named Noah Grady, who's here with his mom and clearly, counting the minutes until this is over. The only thing we seem to have in common is that neither of us wants to be here.
But somewhere between swinging over canyons and spilling my guts while hiking through the desert, I start to feel something I haven't in months—free. Turns out, there's something wildly liberating about rediscovering yourself on a bus full of strangers, none of whom expect you to have your life figured out.
I didn't come on this trip looking for love—especially not with a guy like Noah, who seems determined to stay behind his walls. But maybe love, like adventure, finds you when you're least prepared for it.
And if that's true, taking a ride on the Love Bus might be the best decision I ever made.
The Love Bus in book one in the Love Series by Annabelle Anders. Anders is a master of historical romance, and I have been a long time fan. So I was a little dismayed when I saw that she was sashaying into the world of contemporary romance. I had a difficult time deciding if I wanted to read this one, because I don’t read contemporary romance. It just hasn’t felt like an escape for me. I live in modern times and am faced with modern challenges every day. Why would I want to hide in a book that feels too real? And then I picked up The Love Bus. The Love Bus has been a lovely break for me. This author’s skill with developing characters of depth and vulnerability has a way of connecting with me on a deeper heart level. Her creation of Luna and Noah did not disappoint. Their love story is a wonderfully slow build with several very steamy scenes. I truly enjoyed this book and I was sad to reach its end. Well done!
