The Duke Who Hates Christmas is book one in the Holiday for Spinsters series by Bianca Blythe. The cover is absolutely gorgeous. I really liked the character of the heroine in this story – Miranda West. She along with her spinster friends decide to run away for the Christmas holidays to her great aunt’s castle. But before she can leave, her wicked Aunt Imogen and Uncle Cuthbert have other plans that throw her life in disarray. I thought that the development of the characters in this book was lacking. Miranda’s friends largely remained too much of a mystery. The love story felt too rushed. And there are plot points that aren’t really answered about Miranda’s relationship with her aunt and uncle. I didn’t understand their motivation throughout the story. Overall, this was just okay.
