The Duke I Lost is book one in the Scoundrels with Secrets series by Annabelle Anders. This book was an amazing ride. I thought each character was well developed and had depth. I loved the heroine Ambrosia and the hero Dash. Both are complicated characters who felt real and believable. I ran through a whole gamut of emotions – from euphoria to despair and back to happiness again. I had some definite school girl giggling moments. There are toe curling steamy scenes in this story so have a fan nearby, and the story has intelligent, thoughtful dialogue. Well done, Ms Anders.
