This little blog of mine, Romance Lover Blog, was born out of heartbreak—and let’s be honest, a desperate need for some joy and escape. After losing my precious daughter in 2017, I found solace where I least expected it: between the pages of scandalous dukes, feisty heroines, and an overabundance of empire waist gowns. Historical romance, especially anything Regency, became my lifeline. Since then, I’ve devoured and reviewed over 600 books—and I’ve got the opinions (and tea) to prove it.
I’m a Native-Texan, Baylor grad—where I studied English, seasoned homeschool mom of four wonderfully creative children, and a passionate lover of all things literary and lacy. If it involves Regency fashion, drawing rooms, or a brooding viscount with emotional baggage, I’m probably already three chapters in.
But wait, there’s more! When I’m not elbow-deep in a book, I’m designing goodies for fellow romantics—t-shirts, mugs, tote bags, phone cases—you name it. No, I’m not turning this into an Etsy empire (though I could, let’s be real). I just like sharing pretty things with kindred spirits. You’ll find my creations linked here, lovingly displayed, but sold elsewhere. Less fuss that way.
At its core, this blog is about love—of stories, of healing, of connection. My mission? To share truly honest reviews (so you KNOW I’m not getting paid to hand out 5-stars all around), spotlight swoon-worthy reads, and maybe help someone else find a little light in the dark, the same way I did. 🌹
