The writing of this story was on point. The pace was steady with just enough action, comedy, drama, seriousness, and romance to keep the story interesting and balanced. Forbidden Fate is book one in the Sisters of Danu series by Mia Pride. Although this is book one, I strongly suggest reading Forsworn Fate: A Sisters of Danu novella first. I’m one of those readers who likes reading an entire series. Even though many authors claim their books in a series can be read as standalones, I seldom find that to be the case.
Forbidden Fate is the story of Gwynneth and Liam. I truly enjoyed the characters in this story. Pride does an excellent job of layering her characters. Each one develops and grows. There are some steamy scenes but they are towards the end of the book. Can’t wait to read more!
