One dutiful duke...
Percival Carmichael, new Duke of Alfriston, is in a hurry. He's off to propose to London's most eligible debutante. After nearly dying at Waterloo, he's vowed to spend the rest of his life living up to the ton's expectations.
One fallen tree...

I truly loved this book. Bianca Blythe has written a hilariously funny story. Fiona Amberly would rather spend her days digging for Roman treasure than attending balls. She lives with her aging grandmother. Fiona has lied to her and told her that she has a beau who is away fighting the Napoleonic war to avoid social engagements. Unfortunately for Fiona, the war has ended, and the grandmother expects said beau to arrive any moment. When Fiona must find a “fake fiancee” in only a few days, she literally abducts a duke. The cleverness and comedy of this story was genius, and it also had touching heart-tugging scenes with the hero. The characters are well developed and complex. Truly a wonderfully entertaining story.
