Mayfair Maiden is book eight in The Twelve Days of Christmas series by Annabelle Anders.  Mr. Peter Spencer is the hero in this novella. He was previously a supporting character in the Regency Cocky Gents and Lord Love a Lady. I liked his character. He is the third son and devoted to playing the cello. When he meets the widow Lady Starling he is drawn to her? But will he choose her or his music? Lady Starling is a sad character, and I had a hard time liking her at first. She uses men’s bodies like handkerchiefs. Will she change her ways or stay shallow and vapid? Steamy scenes abound in this story. Overall, a well-written novella.
