Once Upon a Winter’s Eve is book 1.5 in the Spindle Cove series by Tessa Dare. I thoroughly enjoyed this novella.  I’m not a huge fan of the cover of the book. I just don’t think that the model on the cover is very pretty. But the characters are well developed and the pace is perfect making it difficult to put down. I liked the heroine Violet Winterbottom and the way she transforms from wallflower to vibrant young woman. The unknown stranger who stumbles into the ballroom and faints adds intrigue to the story. There are several steamy scenes. Overall, another great story by Dare.
