Scandalous Scot is book four in The Highlander’s Through Time series. This series is co-authored by Cecelia Mecca and Julie Johnstone. Scandalous Scot is Mecca’s handiwork and a delightful read. Ian McCaim is the youngest McCaim brother and the one who causes impetuous trouble wherever he goes. He and his brothers have catapulted through time in search of their mother. When he stumbles across a beautiful lass with a mark, he is instantly entranced. Mairi Kelbrue is used to people staring at the mark on her cheek, but when the strange man staring at her begins to kiss her, she is spellbound. “His lips touched hers, hesitant. She opened her mouth just slightly, as Ambrose had instructed, and MacKinnish swept inside. His tongue demanded, and she gave, unsure of precisely how to proceed.” I enjoyed this book. Out of the four, this one was my favorite. There are a few steamy sex scenes and some offensive language – I grow weary of the “F” word. I can not say that I’m a big fan of the cover. I feel like the woman pictured is way to old for the male model on the front. Overall, this is a great book and a really well written series.
