The Viscount Forgotten is book three in the Lords of London series by Emma Evans. Sophia Newton’s new chaperone is a man she considered a friend. But when Lord Hector Guthrie turns into a quiet taciturn companion, Sophia is forced to break through his walls. Uncovering a dark secret that Lord Guthrie holds, Sophia is challenged in their friendship. Can she remain with the reclusive Lord Guthrie once she uncovers his scandalous secret? Or will the scandal of his past tear them apart. I thought this book was very well written. It is a sweet romance. However, I did struggle a bit with the hero and how he is portrayed. He was married young and then divorced. Back in Regency times, divorce was anathema. It is difficult to believe that he would have acted as Sophia’s escort. But aside from that hiccup, I really enjoyed the book.
