If you love clean Regency-era romances you will love The Viscount in Hiding!
The Viscount in Hiding is book one in the Lords of London series by Emma Evans. Although this is part of a series this is a sweet, stand alone story. In this book, the hero Viscount William Morton leaves London in embarrassment at the height of the social season for his country estate. He is determined to stop acting like a love sick fool over every beautiful woman who bats her lashes at him. Miss Juliette Hawkridge needs to escape from her wicked stepbrother The Earl of Perrin. She secretly stows away in Lord Morton’s carriage and finds an empty cabin on his land to live in. When Lord Morton meets Juliette he believes she is one of his humble tenants and not actually a lady of the ton. When Juliette’s wicked step brother moves closer to finding her, will Lord Morton protect her or reject her for her lies? I thought this story line was very different from other romances. The heroine’s position and plight is a little far-fetched at times. But overall I truly enjoyed William’s character. He is quite different from other romantic heroes but still very delightful. This is a very sweet short love story.
