A wealthy earl.
A charming but penniless rogue.
Will she follow her head or her heart?

After disgracing herself in her first season in London society, Claire is sent to stay with family in the countryside.

There, Claire is introduced to the Earl of Dalton, and they begin a courtship. That is, until she meets Mr Ruben Hawkins, a dashing rogue who seems to have stepped straight from one of her romance novels. Claire is drawn to him in the most vexing way and, suddenly, the earl seems dull in comparison.

However, when she sneaks away to meet Mr Hawkins in secret, they are discovered, and not only does the earl turn away from her, but the event threatens to make her an outcast of decent society for the rest of her life.

To Claire's surprise, help arrives in the form of the last person she had ever thought would help her…

Will she find her way back to love and her knight in shining armour?

To Romance A Scoundrel is a clean historical romance novel. It’s a tale of adventure, first impressions and the redeeming power of love—all set against the glittering and enchanting backdrop of Regency England. No cliffhanger.

To Romance A Scoundrel by Rosie Wynter is a sweet romance set during the Regency Era. I thought that this was a good book. I struggled with the heroine at first. Claire Curtis is extremely fanciful and naive in her romantic notions of the world. She is hurtful to others in her actions and yet defensive of those consequences. Fortunately Claire has an aunt and a sister Grace who love her enough to speak the truth to her. Eventually, Claire’s character grows and she becomes an unselfish person.  I really liked the hero – John Graham, Earl of Dalton. Even though his point of view is not known throughout the book, his actions make it obvious that his heart is engaged to Claire. But when he discovers her in the arms of another, will there ever be a chance for them to be together? I thought that the story was good. The pacing was slow at times but, overall, its a good book.
