A marriage of convenience between a disgraced nobleman and a spirited American heiress becomes the battleground for an unlikely love story...

The once privileged Flynn, Earl of Luxmoore, faces the ruin of everything he holds dear, his family's legacy teetering on the brink of disaster. In a daring attempt to salvage his future, he binds himself to Angelina Ellsworth, a defiant American ensnared in scandal, her life a whirlwind of secrets and shadows. Their agreement is forged in pragmatism: a marriage devoid of love, a mutual understanding to secure their futures.

Yet, in the dim light of their shared sacrifices, an unexpected bond forms between them. Angelina, who vowed to never trust a man again, finds herself intrigued by Flynn's unwavering resolve and unexpected kindness. Flynn, in turn, is drawn to Angelina's resilience and the mystery that surrounds her. As they face threats both external and internal, their alliance is tested in ways they never anticipated.

Bound by necessity but united by an emerging trust, Flynn and Angelina must navigate the treacherous paths of society and their own conflicted hearts. In a world where alliances are currency, and love is a risk, will they choose safety in solitude or dare to embrace the perilous beauty of a love unforeseen? Their story is a testament to the power of love to emerge triumphant, even from the most pragmatic of beginnings.

Triumph and Treasure is book one in the Highland Heather Romancing a Scot series by Collette Cameron. I truly enjoyed this tale of love between Angelina and Flynn. This book covers some unusual topics such as slavery and illegitimacy. Cameron’s tale is never predictable. I loved the humor in Angelina’s character – caught up a tree? The twists and turns of the plot kept me interested and reading. Flynn, Earl of Luxmoore is a swoon-worthy hero. “His tender kiss undid her. Sent her self-control and convictions spiraling crazily. Though hardly more than a whisper, the soft pressure of his lips sent sparks from the tips of her toes to the top of her head.” Can’t wait to read more. I was given a copy of this book.
