Mr. Giles Templeton, third son of the Earl of Wexford, is a rake of the highest order and a confirmed bachelor. Yet, marriage-minded-mamas continue to drag their daughters to his attention. He's everything a young lady of the ton could want—handsome, wealthy, charming, and kind. For Miss Suzanna Blake, though, Giles is missing the one thing her parents require in a potential son-in-law: a title.

Giles has a golden touch with money. But when he falls hard for Suzanna only for her to rebuff him, he wonders if maybe his luck has run out. So Giles does what only a rake can do: he wagers that not only will she marry him, but she’ll fall in love with him, too.

Though her heart yearns for a true love-match with Giles, Suzanna has never gone against her parent’s wishes. And if she wins the bet, she faces a loveless marriage to a titled man. Now her happiness lies in losing a wager...and all bets are off.

Wagering for Miss Blake is book four in Lords & Ladies in Love by Callie Hutton. This is a wonderfully romantic story that is filled with absolutely hilarious moments. When Mr. Giles Templeton falls head over heels in love with Miss Suzanna Blake, he finds that he must overcome some especially great obstacles to win her heart and hand in marriage. Is it an impossible task?

I truly fell in love with the character of Giles. He is witty, handsome and determined. “He was dressed in all black except for a pure white cravat and a white silk waistcoat. Loose curls had escaped his combed-back chestnut brown hair to rest on his forehead, only a few inches from his light brown eyes with flecks of gold. Eyes that watched her with hunger.” I can recommend this series.
